Le Brut honors our great-uncle Petit and the story that is told goes as follow:
Even in the days of prohibition, Petit ciders were preceded by their reputation. It was not rare to hear that more cider was drunk than apples were eaten in the area ! Our great-uncle Petit had to do tricks to escape the village priest, horrified by these unrepentant sins.
