Le Ratoureux
Grandpa Petit had more than one trick up his sleeveIt is said that during prohibition, he took advantage of his contacts to avoid descents and hide his barrels in the orchard. Resulting from fermentation in oak barrels, this cider with fine bubbles is a tribute to its ingenious recklessness.
Le Brut
Even in the days of Prohibition, Petit ciders were preceded by their reputation.
It was not uncommon to hear that the village drank more cider than it ate apples! Our great-uncle Petit had to play cunning to escape the village priest, horrified at these unrepentant sins.
La Vlimeuse
Grand-Maman Petit was once the official taster of the cider house.
Each year, she invited the women of the village for a well-watered vigil. It is said that during a particularly lively dance party, they jiggled so vigorously that even the apples would have fallen.
Le Jaseux
Burning with an extraordinary passion,
our father could spend hours chatting with his red cheekbones and inflamed words. It is said that he could have set the orchard on fire on a hot summer day when his counterpart, speechless at such eloquence, dropped his pipe at his feet.
La Fameuse
Lively and passionate, our mother is known to move air.
She would have met her equal one autumn evening, when a historic tornado was heading straight for Saint-Hilaire. Without hesitation, she would have rushed to her beloved apple trees and held them until the storm passed.
La Palette
We can say that Stéphane Petit, our master cider producer, is not afraid of anything.
The day after a freezing rainy night, the orchard had turned into a huge skating rink. Despite the freezing cold, he hosted the longest friendly hockey game in history there. We never knew how he could resist such a cold temperature, but, in our opinion, his secret weapon must have been something to drink!
Les Apprentis
The Petit brothers were quite an entertainment!
As tall as three apples, they were playing on their father's tractor while they hooked up the clutch and got raced down the hill. Their father found them immobilized in an apple tree at the bottom of the hill clapping their hands, ready to start again.
La Tannante
Little by little, the word spreads: there is a new recruit at the cider house.
Passionate about novelty, it is not uncommon to see her disappear for hours, in search of new unusual flavors ... Some say she has magical powers, but you have not been told anything.
