Fresh apples year-round in Mont-Saint-Hilaire

Apple picking is possible starting in August until November at Vergers Petit et Fils.

We also invite you to come and buy already picked apples throughout the year at our shop. We have several varieties such as Melba, Sunrise, Paulared, Lobo, McIntosh, Spartan, Cortland, Empire, Honeycrisp, and Royal-Gala.

Our activities

Our clients can enjoy many free activities on our charming site: mini farm, tractor ride, giant maze, playground, apple rally, cider tasting, observation point, picnic area. Much choice for the young and the less young!

Experience Sharing

Very pleasant orchard. It's very large, people settle in with their folding chairs in the middle of the orchard. Several tables are available to sit and enjoy a good apple cider. Don’t be put off by the line to enter the shop, it goes very quickly: a solid 5 minutes and we were in. The apple donuts are a must! You can taste all the ciders at the back of the shop. Cash and debit are accepted for both picking and shopping… Serge Fisette

We visit this orchard every year for apple picking. The setting is truly beautiful and the staff are very friendly. The tractor ride to reach the heart of the orchard is a fun experience. There is a wide variety of apples to pick, plenty of parking spaces, as well as tables to eat on-site. I've been coming here for, what... 10 years?!? And the few other orchards I've seen haven't matched this one! Just wow... it's more than an orchard, it's an experience! The playgrounds for children, the animals, the shop is magnificent and diverse ;p The tractors are frequent and appreciated. No need for a 10-minute ride... once dropped off, you can even walk back. Truly an ideal orchard for children. Large open spaces, play modules, a small petting farm. Plenty of room to play and run. Many picnic tables and a large parking area. We went on a Friday to pick Sunrise apples—they were delicious. Several varieties available at this late summer. Many ladders along the rows. The store is brimming with local products. An incredible place to pick apples with family while enjoying a sublime landscape. The orchard is so vast that there were still apples late in October. And the many warm, sunny days made this year’s season a real success. The products sold on site are of excellent quality, though you’ll want to eat them quickly so they don’t go to waste. Incredible service. I arrived near closing time with a friend who knew what she wanted, and as someone who almost never drinks alcohol, I wasn’t sure. The lady working let me taste several options, and I never felt like I was bothering her. I ended up with only a sparkling apple liqueur and received professional service and a smile the entire time. The best cider. Orchard open year-round for buying apples at the warehouse or apple-derived products. A very beautiful place to go with children in autumn. Notably, the Sunrise and Paulared varieties are ready for picking by late August. Eli Za

Melba

Melba is a medium size apple, its skin is thick and its color is a pale yellow washed with red. This apple variety is very fragile. It is also a perfect apple for dessert, cooking and juice. Melba comes from rustic tree, sturdy and perfect for our climate. These apple trees begin to produce early in the month of August. One of the best summer apples! Its storage time is about 2 weeks at 2°C.
