Tasting Note
The apples are selected, freshly picked and pressed just after the Fall harvest. This cider is the product of a simple fermentation and an aging process in which the cider develops more aroma. It is called "strong" because its level of alcohol is higher than 8%. This level of alcohol is reached by a short process of cryoconcentration in order to concentrate more the sugar from the apples must. This traditional method still respects the old fashion ways and is passed down in the Petit's family for more than a century.
The apples that are used to make this incredible cider are: Lobo, McIntosh, Cortland, Empire, Spartan.
This cider contains à 10% of alcohol
At first sight, you can see a beautiful hay-yellow with discreet golden rays.
The aging period confers a perfume revealing crispy and fresh apples. On the tasty side, the apple is persistent and long in mouth.
Because of his high level of alcohol, it is easy to serve it with stronger meats such as beef, pork or veal. Strong cheeses like blue or old cheddar are also good choices
